Manuscripts can be submitted through the website www.medicinaylaboratorio.com via the "Submit an Article" link. Authors must register to access the OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform and follow the required steps; tutorials are available on our website. Using this platform allows authors to track the manuscript's status throughout the editorial process. Submitters should retain a copy of their manuscript, as the Editor assumes no responsibility for its non-receipt or loss during the evaluation and editing process.

The Editor will confirm receipt of the article to the corresponding author and will scan it for plagiarism and duplication using the iThenticate® software . Materials submitted for consideration will be evaluated by the Editorial Committee for provisional approval based on relevance and quality. Copyright transfer and liability waiver forms will be sent to each author and must be completed. Manuscripts that proceed to the editing process will be sent to external peer reviewers under a double-blind review process. Medicina & Laboratorio® guarantees the confidentiality of this process.

Once the Editor has received the reviewers' comments, the corresponding author will be notified to make the suggested changes within two weeks, if applicable. Finally, when the manuscript is definitively accepted, a proof version of the article in PDF format will be sent for final review and must be returned to the Editor within 48 hours. If no comments are received within the established timeframe, the Editor is not responsible for any typographical, spelling, or formatting errors that may be published. Similarly, the Editor reserves the right to accept or reject any corrections made by the author to the proof.

Medicina & Laboratorio® reserves the right to accept or reject submitted manuscripts and will make any style and grammar changes it deems necessary, as well as any suggestions it believes may improve their presentation and quality. In all cases, the authors are responsible for the ideas, judgments, opinions, approach, accuracy of information, and all other aspects expressed in their manuscripts.
